World leaders

Here I have provided most of the heads of state of independant and now occupied countries in the world. The list of leaders goes back as far as records begin  or since their ruling dates and names were recorded. There will also be a brief history of each nation.

I have tried also to name the rulers as they would be known in the language of their countries e.g Lewis = Louis, Ludwig, Ludvico, Lazaros and Luis, or John = Johann, Hans Jean, Joao, Juan and  Jan.

The leaders of each country are listed together and not seperated from each other according to the time in history they ruled. An example of this is Bulgaria which had three kingdoms in its history which were seperated by periods of rule by other nations, but here they are listed together.
